Keke Palmer Names Her Baby The Blackest Name Possible To Celebrate Giving Birth During Black History Month
Keke Palmer is a new mom. The queen of “booked and busy” is enjoying her latest role and wasting no time taking fans on the journey with her. Palmer has already taken to social media to share her new baby’s photo and his name. Palmer also offers a hilarious explanation for the unique name she picked.
Keke Palmer had an amazing 2022. In addition to some of her biggest films to date, including Nope, the multihyphenated diva also go to host Saturday Night Live. It was there that she confirmed what people had been speculating for months, she was pregnant.
Palmer had been sporting some pretty big clothes during her run at fashion week, which already had people suspicious. Since then, Keke has used her social media to keep everyone up to date with her baby’s journey. This included some hilarious videos of her joking that pregnancy had cleared up her skin.
Palmer told fans she might make like another famous Keke, Keke Wyatt, and keep making babies if it meant her skin was going to stay as clear as it did. This week brought her and her bundle of joy to their final stop. Keke, her partner Darius Jackson and their new baby posed it up for some hilarious photos from the delivery room and their first ride home.
In one post, Palmer opened up about how proud she was to give birth during Black History Month and how it inspired her son’s very special name.
“Born during Black History Month, with a name to match !” she said before revealing that baby Palmer’s name is Leodis Andrellton Jackson. “Welcome to the world, baby Leo,” she said. The slide show featured her and Darius hilariously looking into the camera. In pictures towards the end, Leo can be seen sound asleep and already cuddling a toy.
A host of celebrity friends jumped in her comments to wish her congrats, including Jhene Aiko, Big Sean, and Lauren London. Palmer jokes that Darius made them a playlist for the ride home, and baby Leo is already a fan of El Debarge and Rolling Ray. “Cause purrr,” she joked.
